I expect Trump to hit McConnell with both barrels after the midterms. There is no point in doing it now. A GOP Civil War right now is not what he needs.
I think Trump the businessman expected the GOP to behave like company executives do after a hostile takeover.

I see your points, both posts- and have a similar skepticism
about Session’s “secret” prosecutor having the IG hand off individual actors to him so he can present to a Grand Jury and indict-— want to believe it would be concurrent with the “outings” the last 6 months and represent at least “some” of the critical people under sealed indictments.
Want to believe it (even per the treehouse optimism)- but the mormon “line” is self protecting itself- with or without the huge NSA facility in Utah as an “outpost” listening station- ex compartmentalized from the bad actors meddling elsewhere ... like in MD.
Notably, some of the known actors are strangely both lawyered up and .... thus silent. Perhaps because indicted. Or maybe they’ve been flipped and spilling their guts. It is not going well for comey, and one could only speculate about Huma and Hills.
