This is going to be interesting when — and if — they arrive at the US border: For five days now hundreds of Central Americans — children, women, and men, most of them from Honduras — have boldly crossed immigration checkpoints, military bases, and police in a desperate, sometimes chaotic march toward the United States. Despite their being in Mexico without authorization, no one has made any effort to stop them.

A showdown at the border with Donald Trump is exactly the kind of media spectacle that could rally voters to the GOP. Washington Democrats had better hope those migrants — who, note well, aren’t war refugees — don’t get anywhere near the US border. You have to turn to apocalyptic, racially charged fiction to find a symbol as culturally and politically potent as that one.
I’d like to see Trump force Mexico to handle this before they get to the border. Or if they do arrive at the border, shut the entire border traffic down.
One more thing, You don’t think those illegals are being terrorized and raped by the cartels and local bandits. That’s a 2000 mile trip. Somehow I see Obama’s sticky fingers all over this.
Where’s the media following these folks? They’ll never report it because it would turn those illegals away due to the graphic. horrific things that happen to them along the way.
Trump should advise Mexico that for each 50 mile advance toward the US border one port of entry will be closed until Mexico deports these ‘migrants’. 100 miles - 2 ports, 200 miles 4 ports. They stay closed until the migrants are gone.
It could have been a showdown between state and federal LEAs in California, but they are unlikely to make the big left turn and head west that far just to find a friendly reception from Moonbeam's state police. But it could still happen.
This "left-turn march" would set up a direct confrontation between California and the FLEAs.
I agree Travis, they probably will go to Ca. Here in Texas I’m sure the governor would ensure they are turned back.

That kind of corruption of the leadership, media and elected officials was the most prescient aspect of Raspail's book I think.
That book will be in league with Atlas Shrugged and 1984.

It's too late for that in this particular case. Those invaders must be interdicted, confined to a 'holding area' and repatriated immediately. Mexico should be punished as well, and from this point on regarded as a hostile power...no different than North Korea or Iran. I'm so sick to bleeding gums death of Mexico.
