I liked your observation that progressives are mentally ill.
Every era seems to have a defining medical scourge.
In the 18th century, it was smallpox. In the 19th, tuberculosis. For the first half of the 20th, polio.
Today is appears that the political Left has abandoned even the pretense of reason. Why bother with reasoned discourse when it’s so much easier and more satisfying to shout down your critics?
Much as I dislike the early progressives like Woodrow Wilson, at least they could make a plausible case for their harmful policies.
I have no good answer for why there are so many irrational people. But I do believe that ascendancy of emotional reasoning in politics is actually well downstream from the source of emotional chaos in all aspects of our culture.
Some blame has to fall on the fact that life in the USA is no longer a struggle for survival. When you don’t know where your next meal is coming from, it tends to concentrate your mind on reality. Boredom in a cubicle has replaced backbreaking work in a factory.
Neither should we underestimate the impact of psychoactive drugs over the last 50 years or so.
The KKK and the democrat party have always been in the exact same political location relative to one another.
The only movement has been the space between what the dems want, and what they claim publically. After the sixties, they moved their public image to the right, away from communism and the KKK where their heart is. More recently, this space has gotten smaller, as Trump’s actions force them to demonstrate what they really want. As this thread points out.
Remember, the KKK is on the left. The creation of a distorted “left-right” political spectrum has been part of the progressivist propaganda. A far more accurate paradigm shows Nazis and communists on one end and American conservatives on the other.
And truly, instead of “American conservatives” I should say “American patriots.”
“The Soviet Union and all other communist states are very good at the “from” part, but fail to follow up on the ‘to’ part.”
Excellent point, illustrating in very concise terms the Great Lie of communism.
God does not exist. Religion in science is an absurdity, in practice an immorality and in men a disease.I see no difference between this rhetoric and that used by Marx and Lenin.

Fascism establishes the real equality of individuals before the nation the object of the regime in the economic field is to ensure higher social justice for the whole of the Italian people What does social justice mean? It means work guaranteed, fair wages, decent homes; it means the possibility of continuous evolution and improvement. Nor is this enough. It means that the workers must enter more and more intimately into the productive process and share its necessary discipline As the past century was the century of capitalist power, the twentieth century is the century of power and glory of labor.

We go to battle against the plutocratic and reactionary democracies of the west This gigantic struggle is nothing other than a phase in the logical development of our revolution; it is the struggle of peoples that are poor but rich in workers against the exploiters who hold on ferociously to the monopoly off all the riches and all the gold of the earth

When the war is over, in the worlds social revolution that will be followed by a more equitable distribution of the earths riches, due account must be kept of the sacrifices and of the discipline maintained by the Italian workers. The Fascist revolution will make another decisive step to shorten social distances.

China IS trending toward totalitarian socialism
China IS trending toward totalitarian socialism
>>China IS trending toward totalitarian socialism
Trending away from what? Please explain.
Hardline communism, pure communism
The ten chicoms is no for accurate
>>Hardline communism, pure communism
No doubt about it. China got closer to pure theoretical communism than any European, Latin American, or African country. Pol Pot’s Cambodia got even closer.
But, both were very short-lived as the realities of human behavior “forced” them into totalitarianism to force people into the unnatural system of living in a hive with no concern for their own well-being or success.
