Yes he sure did, he dipped his hand in Dr. King’s blood and made sure he was photographed with a blood stained shirt. I think he even went so far as to claim that Dr. King died in his arms until photographs proved that Jackson wasn’t even on the balcony.

Yes he was there, but not when Dr. King was shot. Jackson was in the parking lot when the actual shooting occurred and he never cradled Dr. King in his arms as he died.

This was a point of contention between Jackson and Mayor Ed Koch of NYC when Jackson was running for president. Jackson did his best to drop the subject as Koch accused him of fabricating the story to boost his poll numbers.
