The Bishops' home was previously burglarized on Feb. 6. During that incident, a flat-screen TV was stolen. Police said Adams is a suspect in that case.

So, the dead guy saw the gun safe during the earlier burglary and decided to come back for the contents when someone was home to open the safe.

He apparently was too drug addled to think that there might be other guns in the house.
