There is an easy way to beat democrats in a Presidential Election year if the GOP had the guts to do it.
You want to distract liberals, especially the snowflakes that want to protest everything? Somehow get “Mickey Mouse” on the presidential ballot in several liberal states and covertly foment “a protest” against all politicians and our political system. Make it “cool”. Get bumper stickers and election pins and stickers, the whole gambit. The media would eat it up and encourage them to protest the presidential election by getting “Mickey” a lot of votes.
Thing is, it would, ironically split the votes for democrats, largely.

I think the Democrats are looking for a designated loser for 2020. There is not a serious challenger in the bunch.
