Which are an environmental disaster since they require far more resources to produce than they will ever produce in electricity.

Not saying I agree with using solar generation in large-scale applications. I don't. When saying solar generation is zero-emission, the supporters do not take in account the need for oil to mine, produce, and transport as well as use standard equipment (which use oil) to install the solar equipment. Solar is not zero-emission, far from it.
