In the wake of the “March For Our Lives” rally Saturday, and with no legislative appetite for more gun control laws, Democrats in both the House and Senate have introduced a bill requiring background checks for purchasing bullets.
“You do not have the right to bear bullets,” said Congresswoman and former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz at a press conference Monday announcing the introduction of a bill that would require instant background checks to purchase ammunition.
The Ammunition Background Check Act was introduced by Wasserman Schultz in the House and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) in the Senate. Like its name implies, it would require anyone looking to buy bullets to be subjected to background checks, similar to the one required to purchase a firearm in the first place.

Holster control!
That's right... holster control.
The Constitution says that the right to "bear" arms will not be infringed, but it doesn't say anything about holstering the arms.
Therefore, it will be the position of Democrats that the 2nd amendment means that one must "hold" the weapon at all times (i.e., the definition of "bear"), and that holstering the weapon is not "bearing it."
Ipso facto... et cetera et cetera... We will ban holsters.

You already know the answer, but for those who don't, THEY AREN'T IN THE LEAST BIT INTERESTED IN CRIME PREVENTION OR SCHOOL SHOOTINGS, ETC. They want a completely disarmed citizenry so that they can implement a totalitarian government that makes Stalin's USSR look like freedom central. The ONLY thing stopping them is that a portion of the population (those who did NOT vote for Hillary) is too smart to give up their means of self defense.

I disagree. She isn't so much stupid as she is evil. She's no doubt aware that all of the bans etc. can be circumvented, but her goal is to remove the ability to resist tyranny from the bulk of Americans so her jack booted thugs only have a relative few freedom minded citizens to murder.

She probably also believes that the first amendment guarantees freedom of speech, but that the federal government can nevertheless ban the use of “words” without a permit.

If she is a typical Democrat, and she obviously is, then she doesn't believe in any limits on government at all. To her and her fellow Democrats the constitution is meaningless - a quaint historical document without any relevance or power in today's world. Democrats (and unfortunately most republicans) only believe in one thing: the unlimited ability of the government to control every action of it's subjects. To them any limitations on government power are not only wrong but blasphemous
Seems reasonable—simple ID check for ammo purchase, else CCW, and need national CCW reciprocity since we, at least speaking for myself, buy ammo online from out of state. DWS gets her bullet control, we help keep ammo out of hands of kids and felons, and we get national reciprocity. And, that promotes safe gun ownership since CCW holders, by some stats, are more law abiding than the police. Bet considering her ongoing investigations, she might appreciate that little detail.
