“Mexico will pay for the wall” was blowing smoke big time. Not meant as a personal attack on you, but anyone who thought Mexico was going to directly pay for the wall is an idiot. Trump has other avenues to extract funds from Mexico via treaties, tariffs, deportations, etc. With Mexico's $63B trade surplus and tens of millions of illegal aliens drawing entitlements and services, it's a zero sum game that we have been losing.
