If English teachers in our grade & high schools concentrated more on the education of the language — homonyms, homophones, synonyms, etc. — and not so much on things “homophobic@, perhaps people will be less sensitive. But then again these days, maybe not…
There is plenty of ignorance out there, that’s for sure. And it is easily exploited.
