The news last night breathlessly played a few clips. Here’s what didn’t make sense to me. Her reason for having sex with him, even though she claims she was uncomfortable doing so, was that she said she felt dumb for having put herself in such a compromised position to be alone with him, and there he was sitting on the bed. Now, at that point, I’d be getting the heck out of the room, and not going “well, this was a dumb decision, and I’m uncomfortable with where this is headed, I guess I may as well see it through all the way.” How does that make sense in any scenario?

I felt that way too...until I built the timeline. I kept thinking this was all in the past couple of years, and then it hit me...this was 2006/2007. Almost the middle of the second Bush period. She’s peaking out in her Vegas-adult actress period (mid-20s).
It sounds like all those dumb actresses that were part of the pound me too movement. Maybe that’s where they got the idea to put it into a script for her.
