What? The Defense Department is one of the worst bloated bureaucracies. They can’t account for how the money is spent now, so give them more? Also, the spending is based almost entirely on politics and what the contractors want to sell to the government, not on military need.
Our military won’t do us much good when the country goes bankrupt from the debt. No, this bill is as bad as it seems.

The reality is that the Generals advised Trump that our military funding is paramount. Give the Dems everything for the sake of military funding.

The lie is that today’s Democrat Party is anything like the Democrat Party Reagan dealt with.
It won’t have the needs in future budgets it has right now after 8 years of Obama.
With the Defense money set, Trump won’t allow a second omnibus bill and will veto it.
The problem is Republicans in the House and Senate.

As long as the President is true to his word in September when another funding bill will be needed I’m fine with it. He did make a big mistake in dangling a veto out there and then pulling back. He shouldn’t have had a public news conference either.
There is no reason why Conservatives have to fund leftist priorities in order to get money for the military.

Considering we already spend more on defense spending than the rest of the planet combined, this is really not something that can turn this crap-sandwich of a budget into something edible.
