Don’t these nitwits have staffs? Shouldn’t they have someone going over the news and issues of the day, and then look for what is upsetting the Left—which means it upsets the news media—which means they’ll be ask all about it? Did that dawn on anyone???

So I’m sure Joni was blindsided by the question and answered in a way not to offend but without thinking it through earlier.

Joni, the proper answer is:

“Not everyone, God bless them, that wants to serve in the military can. There are all kinds of reasons—flat feet, bed wetting, bad backs, too fat, too thin, chronic disease, mental aptitude and acumen, mental health, criminal records, just all kinds of things means you can’t serve.

However, we could always use volunteers to help in a million different ways: in the local community and nation-wide, there’s just so many things waiting to be done.

However, the first and foremost thing the military does is kill people and break things. That’s their REAL mission. Their meat and taters. Everything else is dessert and gravy.

We need people in the military who are fit in every way, and do not, as much as possible, bring issues with them that would make them hard to deploy or train quickly.

To that end, only the Department of Defense should be in charge of the qualifications and disqualifications of who can serve. Sadly, not congressmen or senators, or social science experts, nor community organizers.”
