Thanks for thread AB. All emphasis has left the idea that we should harden the soft target of public schools but using armed guards or police (or trained willing teachers). Every court house, airport, government building can “afford” security. As can Hollywood and elites. Also no more talk about keeping dangerous weapons from obviously crazy people. Just ban guns! ban guns! NRA is evil! NRA kills kids!

Makes me sick, Where are the counter protests? The NRA Congressmen who supposedly sold their souls to NRA.

I worried have worried for years that all our eggs are in NRA basket. We need more diverse support to help us preserve 2nd Amendment.

Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) broke from President Donald Trump’s policy to ban most transgender people from serving in the US military citing “gender dysphoria.”

Ernst said, “I support allowing those transgenders that can serve I believe they should serve.

China would be a fool to start a trade war with the US given their huge trade surplus with the U.S.

One additional piece of info. that needs to be added. I read an article regarding China's Silk Road project - the reason that China is doing this is to establish sources of RAW MATERIALS for their economy. For whatever reason China has not developed internal Raw material sources, such as bauxite for Aluminum smelters, oil for their refineries, and they apparently are importing coal - This however needs to be verified.

If Trump can diminish the ability of China to receive raw materials - this would be similar to what happened with Japan in the 1930s

Thank you for taking the time to delve into this rather than get super mad like myself. I have questions you may have insight.

How will we know that this was a big rope a dope by our VSG (Very Smart Guy?) and not a bunch of spin.

Using the Declaration of War as analogy - I think the constitution says congress needs to do such a thing but doesn't say how - hence we've had difference mechanisms congress has used to support military action in lieu of what happened in WWII, with out getting sidetracked on whether on not those are strictly constitutional - could not the omnibus be viewed as a budget? Then opening it up to the whims of Seattle/California/Hawaii Judges meddling?

Some of the confusing and anger on my part is about DACA during the campaign those covered under it had to go back, now he is trying to be their protector - what happened to Kate Steinly(sp) - America(ns) First?

3d chess and messages from a cryptic anonymous letter aside why do we have to put up with so much tea leaf reading to figure out what the hell is going on with our government - this shouldn't be a puzzle. Isn't one of the goals of returning to a more constitutional based system is so that the governed have some clue at what policy/law/direction we are being lead?

I get it might be cool if president Trump takes the money uses the military/state of emergency and build the wall - but isn't the mechanism for doing that super dangerous like we discovered with Obama?

I understand having to play the cards your dealt and my overly romantic notion of things could be very unrealistic when dealing with the swamp - but this approach, philosophically is disturbing.

In so far as it would seem we need a benevolent dictator to rid of us elitist oligarchs - this would suggest the American Revolution and its subsequent traditions and institutions are now irrelevant and void - now its kleptocrats versus a populist savior?

There is a half-assed coupe underway, the progressives are going for the guns - if they succeed in impeaching and convicting thus expelling president Trump we become something like France. Shouldn't the president be steering us on a course back to the constitution not engaging in more deception as to deceive the deep state - perhaps thats naive but I'm beginning to wonder if many in America would rather be more like France rather than the America we grew up in.

I would love to see how the question was worded in that poll!! Assault weapons are not allowed in the hands of the public with rare exceptions. THEY ARE ALREADY BANNED!!

I would not object to Congress passing a law restricting the sale of Guns to anyone under 21 as long as it included a provision that anyone under 21 could not OWN a Car or Drivers License.

AND not be elegible to join the US Military and have the use of a real ASSAULT RIFLE.

I thought I had some good guns, maybe even great guns. But all the guns were blown away when I got a S&W M&P M2.0 9mm Shield. Absolutely sublime! Eats any, and I mean ANY 9mm ammo you feed it. The built in Crimson Trace laser is spot on. Can't say enough good things about this gun.

I got mine last year (S&W M&P9 SHIELD Crimson Trace Green Laserguard) and I hate the thing and have put it back in the safe as a heirloom. The slide is so hard to pull back - spring way to tensioned - that it almost pulls the skin off my hand after repeated use. I would NEVER conceal carry this weapon.
