Well he has no grasp of the Second Amendment, so his lack of understanding “infringement” re the First comes as no surprise to me.

When I was a freshman in high school, my friend Rick ran for class president.
His platform?
“I’ll take a baseball bat to these seniors!”
He won handily.
After the election, some of the senior boys caught him in the hallway and asked him where his bat was.

Rick went to the other high school the next year.

The right of self defense is a perfect right, which is derived from the natural right to life, which is derived from the natural duty of self preservation, which is derived from the higher law, which is derived from God. These can be violated by a tyrannical government, but they cannot be taken away. The people under a tyrannical government have the perfect right to overthrow it in order to reestablish their God given rights and duties.

Obviously our schools are failing our children as they do not seem to be teaching that America IS NOT a democracy.
