Why and when, did almost everyone in the entertainment business, decide that they must be political, and that they must be liberal??????
I don’t watch those late night shows, so don’t really see their acts very often. But, I did watch back in the days of Johnny Carson, and don’t remember all these blatantly liberal political statements coming out of these “comedians”.
And why the need to be political at all?
I recall that at a Madonna concert, shortly before the 2012 election, urged her audience to get out and vote. Sounds like a public service announcement at first. But then she told them “you better f***in vote for Obama”.
And why the profanity?? She couldn’t just say “you better vote for Obama”, instead she had to say “you better f&&*in vote” for him?????
Do any of these people realize, or care, that they are losing roughly half the country when they push liberal political statements?? Do they realize or care that some of that translates into lesser ratings or audience for them??
A bit off topic, but some friends, who knew all about the story of “A Wrinkle in Time”, and enjoyed the book, decided to not see the movie, upon hearing that Oprah was espousing new age pablum in that movie.
So then, at least in my experience, some just won’t go to a movie with Oprah in it, because of Oprah’s ongoing social/political statements towards liberalism. I’m sure there are others just like this.
Why, because they think it makes them sound "cool" or "edgy". Same reason Antifas and various and sundry 'Rat-types do it. IOW, emotionally and mentally, they are basically adolescent children.

Carson was THE King of Comedy. These wannabes are just pretenders who only audience is the lowest of the low. And the “music” performers? LOL...I looked over the list of late nite programs a few days ago and didn’t recognize any “performer”
No wonder kids today don’t have real entertainment. I don’t blame the normal ones for avoiding this trash, why waste your time with boring, lookitme charlatans?
I think a lot of them do it to impress their peers. They want to be “cool” and accepted by Oprah, Meryl Streep, etc.
She also promised something else for those who voted for shillary. She never delivered either.
In my opinion, there are multiple reasons. First, It's probably difficult to survive and advance in the entertainment industry if you don't tow the liberal party line. Second, the connection between the entertainment industry and the Democrats makes entertainers feel more important than they really are - and just like in politics there are plenty of shallow narcissists in the entertainment industry. Third, there was/is clearly an organized infiltration of the media, the entertainment industry, and academia by the international and national left. Doubt that at great risk.
