The Saudis..and other nearby states...have come to the realization that it’s Iran, not Israel, that is their mortal enemy.
“Good thing, ...those Saudi pilots can’t fly for crap.”
Nope. Israeli pilots are much more sophisticated. Ask the survivors from the USS Liberty.
I’ll believe it when I see it. I have reached the point where the internet has shit for credibility. Every minute of everyday, someone is posting outrageously optimistic predictions which never happen. And we fall for it.
Don’t tell me Saudi Arabia and Israel are planning to take Iran out without the confirmation of completely credible sources.
Or anything else. Speak the confirmable truth or put a lid on it.
Thanks GoldenState_Rose.
It is no secret that Israel and Saudi Arabia have warmed their relations over the last decade. These are verifiable facts. Never has there been such antimosity between an American President and an Israeli, Egyptian or Saudi leader.
The main catalyst for this new bonding was the failed Obama presidency. It is seen in the public domain that Obama basically threw Israel and Saudi Arabia (and other allies) under the bus.
Some claim that Obama provided more military foreign aid to Israel than any other President meaning he favored Israel and kept her technological advantage over the Arab armies. This is partially true. While Obama agreed to sell the Israelis the F-35 stealth fighter, the MAIN lethal issue Obama allowed was letting Iran off the hook with the horrible Nuclear deal and paying Iran billions just at the time when the regime was teetering and might have imploded.
This leaves Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the Emirates in a crisis mode.
Hence, major events are afoot in that region such as:
1) Saudia Arabia and Egypt reached agreements on the Tiran Islands, they plan to build a land bridge connecting Saudi Arabia and Egypt’s Sinai. For what purpose? Military.
2)The Sinai desert and the ISIS types there represent a major threat to Egypt, Saudia Arabia and Israel hence they are all cooperating on annihilating those terrorists. Yes, Israel is assisting Egypt, Egypt is cooperating with Israel, Saudi Arabia is cooperating with both of them.
3)Jordan is fragile and on the front line for the next attempted coup by the radicals. Israel, Egypt and Jordan are cooperating at unprecedented levels with them.
4) Iran has invaded Syria and Lebanon. They eventually wish to destroy Israel and Saudi Arabia, overtaking Mecca and Medina.
5) Iran is fighting Saudi Arabia via their proxies in Yemen. The Houti rebels are supplied by Iran. The pro-government forces in Yemen are supplied by Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is bombing the Houtis while the Houtis send Iranian Scud missiles in Riyadh.
These five points are facts and are creating alliances that never were.
Last week, Saudi Arabia permitted an Indian airline to fly over Saudi air space on it’s way to Israel. This is...revolutionary.
Take note, things are rapidly changing behind the scenes as the Syrian, Iranian, Hizbollah threat increase and threatens Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and other Arab Sunna nations.
No one can say for sure what will happen but there is NO DOUBT military alliances are taking shape for an eventual conflict.
Luck may really come in 3’s - if so, it really may be coming.....
Also, Jordan and Egypt have no beef withIran. They have refused to participate in Saud's advantures in Syria and Yemen.
And the Jordanian rulers HATE the Sauds - Jordan is ruled by the Hashemite dynasty, rivals of the Al-Sauds. The Hashemites were traditional rulers of the Hejaz (the western, Red Sea coast of Saudia)
The Hashemites ruled over that area for 800+ years under various Caliphs etc.
But in the late 1700s the first Saudi Empire attacked, destroyed many Islamic monuments (they were iconoclasts destroying Sufi shrines and tombs of earlier izlamic figures) and destroying the Shia mosques in Karbala IRak)
And, in 1914, the Hashemite Sheikh (the great-great-grandfather of the current Jordanian king) raised the flag of Arab revolt against the Turks. He wanted to set up an Arab federation from Egypt to Irak. The British agreed and signed a treaty with him
At the same time the British promised the Jews their own land if they signed up to fight the Turks
And at the same time they promised the French a cut of land
so three competing claims all agreed to by the British.
After WWI, the hashemites got screwed by the Brits - the Brits supported the Al-Saud family to rise again and take over the Hejaz as the Al-Sauds didn't want an Arab confederation and were open to the British controlling Arab oil.
in 1924 the Hashemites were chased out of Makkah and given two sops: the kingdom of Transjordan and the kingdom of Irak
The Jordanian king will NOT ally with the Sauds.
as for the Egyptians -- you know the first Saudi Empire? They were destroyed and their capital razed to the ground and thousands executed by the Egyptians - the Egyptian Pasha (de facto ruler) Muhammad Ali (who incidently was ethnic Albanian) conquered the land and was all powerful.
Even now the Egyptians don't completely trust the Sauds -- they'll take their money but they refused to participate in the Yemen adventure.
Even more so, the Egyptian military is weak, can barely project force outside their own lands and they have a lot to control within the borders of Egypt.
Good point, nearly all the911terroristss were Saudis
Qatar and Oman have no fears of Iran. Neither has Kuwait nor Jordan nor Egypt
Even the UAE is pragmatic and trades with Iran yet placates the sauds
Additionally the Saudis supplied significant funding for The Muslim Brotherhood, the supposedly non violent political organization that spun off Al Qaeda to Afghanistan where they could not be policed or suppressed by the weak national government there.
Then the Saudi government exiled Osama bin Laden to Afghanistan WITH his money, rather than jail him so they cold prevent his engineering 9/11.
This was after Saudi money was used to truck bomb the World Trade Center in 1993.
Way too many "coincidences" for any investigation to ignore.
