Germany and France are to impose new sanctions on Russia over the UK gas attack, with some measures due as early as Monday (26 March).

"We, Germany and France, agreed that such reactions in addition to the recall of the [EU] ambassador are necessary," German chancellor Angela Merkel said at a joint press briefing with French president Emmanuel Macron in Brussels on Friday.

She declined to say what the new sanctions might be, but she called the UK incident a "very grave challenge to common security".

Macron said it was "obvious" that France would take further action.

"We consider this attack a serious challenge to our security and European sovereignty so it calls for a coordinated and determined response from the European Union and its member states", he said.

Enough. we know.

Countries have the freedom to do business with who they want.

If you are going to post about the news then you should keep up with it...

Guccifer 2.0, the ‘lone hacker’ who stole Democratic National Committee emails during the 2016 presidential election, was a Russian intelligence agent.

They are not joking about Sneaking sanctions in the Spending Bill. The more I read and learn, I am thinking we have surrendered. We are just the last to know. Excerpt from the article.

The spending bill bars the use of federal funds for “enter[ing] into new contracts with, or new agreements for Federal assistance to, the Russian Federation,” and allocates $250 million to the Countering Russian Influence Fund—a 150 percent increase from last year. Additionally, it authorizes significant new sanctions against Russia over its actions in eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Their origin, though, remains a mystery. While lawmakers were unsure who exactly inserted those measures into the 2,232-page spending bill, they said it represented a broad point of agreement among Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill in a policy area where Trump himself has, in their view, struggled.

Ha thats funny. And you really really believe the DNC was "hacked?" NEWS I read say the data was downloaded. Hmmmmm. pick your poison.

Speaking of reading the news . . . what does Julian have to say about this. Thinking he knows more than you, I or anyone else from which he recieved the data from. Think!

Now Guccifer 2 can be the devil himself. One has nothing to do with the other. 2 years later, they figure this out. Riiiiiigt! Timing kinda perfect is it not.

You can fool yourself all you like with “news you read”.

Not really interested in a coward’s interpretations though - who makes WWIII threats on the side of Putin.

Putin cannot afford a “hot” war with West. Too depleted.

However he needs an ongoing “cold” war to keep the Russian public happy, feel globally significant, and distracted from their domestic crises and insecurities.

7 million. Yes 7 million people participated in the campaign to “name” the latest unveiled missile/warheads.

Agree. Yeah I kinda get that touchy feely thing about keeping the masses happy. There is a "truth" to that. But thats a much simple answer. There are geo-politics that are too much deep to discuss in this forum that are significant.

Of course its much about energy. Where do pipelines get installed? Who controls which energy producing fields? Military stratigic ports etc all play into it. Control of currency plays a big part. Broaden the view.

Interesting. I had not seen till now, but the story in general I had. Now lets break this down. TownHall is a conservative site backed by the Heritage Foundation?? OK thats good. So we know their bias. And seems ok here.

Now lets look at what they write

Guccifer 2.0 sprang into existence on June 15, 2016, hours after a report by a computer security firm forensically tied Russia to an intrusion at the Democratic National Committee.

Now Berlin look and read carefully. WHO is the computer security firm? And as we learn later it is CrowdStrike. And we have learned who owns CrowdStrike and their relationship with HRC and the DNC. Nothing they are going to say is going to be credible. Why did not / has not FBI or government been allowed to investigate.

Lets break it down more

Without me going back . . . TownHall is quoting copying this article from Daily Beast. Even I am questioning what the heck is going on here.

I don't have that answer, but something is not adding up here. So having said all that the story about Guccifer 2 and "hacking" vs downloading is still not credible YET. Not saying it will not be, its not there it.

My whole point . . . a whole lot of lying in the media going on. What they are saying in my world does not make sense. Back to my original question . . . Does one really believe Putin does not know how to do a kill, and I will stick to my Hack a computer without leaving a trace? It is suspect

Oh by the way. The Russian Spy who was the target? , , , had a relationship with Steele the author of the Trump Dossier. Go figure. See how this game is played?
