Trump is open to criticism when he effs up like today I never said otherwise. What I said is that, on balance, he's done an outstanding job and advanced a conservative agenda on multiple different issues.
Reagan made mistakes and that didn't negate the fact he was great President and conservative icon.
There is analogy between Bush and Trump because Bush rarely implemented a conservative agenda.
I never said otherwise. What I said is that, on balance, he's done an outstanding job and advanced a conservative agenda on multiple different issues. Thanks, Kazan, for seeing the big picture. It's literally as if people have forgotten there's an attempted coup on.
There's a total lack of perspective on display in the aftermath of President Trump's signing of this 6-month spending bill! In context, the unhinged hand-wringing amounts to sheer lunacy, and it's on display by ostensible Trump-supporters—who have suddenly and inexplicably transmuted into latent #NeverTrumpers. There's simply no other way to characterize those who are indulging in such breathtaking short-sightedness—again, in response to the President signing of a 6-month spending bill!
Nobody is saying that Deplorables have to be happy about the President signing this piece of garbage—but we must remember a few things if we're to maintain our collective sanity:
- President Trump has access to much more information—including national security—than we do. Whatever other weaknesses this bill may have had, it fully funded his national defense and military spending priorities. And that may become very relevant in the months ahead.
- Notwithstanding the above fact, President Trump was obviously very upset and frustrated in signing this bill—visibly so, in fact—and this from a person who very rarely shows such raw anger.
- Indeed, the President forcefully declared that he would never sign a bill like this again. But, on balance, Mr. Trump felt that he had little choice to take the action that he did, clearly seeing it as the lesser of several evils.
This all gets to my primary point, in case anyone has forgotten—and apparently many Deplorables
have, judging by their
unhinged response to the President's signing of a
6-month spending bill:
- We're in the midst of a coup attempt—an overt and pervasive ongoing conspiracy intended to undo the results of a perfectly legitimate Presidential election in November of 2016!
- Given that incontrovertible fact, the signing of a friggin' bloated 6-month spending bill pales in significance— indeed,it fades into into utter irrelevance in the grand scale of the current state of things. I don't care where you're from—you need to get this reality through your thick skull.
- Under such conditions, the preparedness of the United States military—which is funded in this bill, and which fully satisfies President Trump's military agenda—is of paramount importance in the lead-up to the 2018 midterms. This is especially true considering the possibility that there may be massive amounts of criminality uncovered, and potential prosecutions underway—creating the strong potential for civil unrest, violence, and even the imposition of Martial Law, depending how events unfold.
To reiterate: the President of this Constitutional Republic is in the midst of fighting off an overt and ongoing criminal conspiracy—literally an attempted
coup—fomented by the Deep State, the Democrat party, and large elements of the GOP itself! Essentially, the entire Establishment Swamp is waging war against We the People, our President, and our entire Constitutional system!
Now, I'm supposed to believe that—under these unique conditions, with the entire Trump Presidency (not to mention the Republic itself) at stake—we actually have supposed supporters of the President who are saying "all is lost", and that they can't support him any longer—all because he signed a 6-month spending bill?
Put down the crack pipe, snowflakes! Adhering to such utterly narrow-minded and patently asinine reasoning—given what's at stake—is aught but masturbatory #NeverTrump self-indulgence—signifying someone who is profoundly detached from objective, practical reality.
We are at war, and losing one battle over a 6-month spending bill—in the midst of an attempted coup—is simply not sufficient reason to turn someone into a #NeverTrumper. Anyone whose support the President loses as a result of signing this bill was never willing to give the President a fair chance in the first place. Such behavior veritably epitomizes the terms "summer soldier" and "sunshine patriot".
There's a coup on, for God's sake! Wake the Hell up and get over your selfish butthurt!
#NeverTrump is as #NeverTrump does...
