I never have owned a gun. I shot a .22 rifle and skeet gun one time in Boy Scouts, and I don’t know how this works, but I’m in. Well, just to be honest, I have shot a gun a couple of other times, on chance occasions. Anyway, whenever I read some article, I’m all in on the NRA side. I guess it doesn’t take much to make a warrior.
It is truly remarkable how delusional they are.
Civilian firearm ownership, a case could be made (I suppose) that a ban and confiscation was workable during say, the 1930s up thru tye 1950s. The demographics of the nation were mostly homogenous as well as the basic civil and religious background. People also most importantly, had trust in the basic government entities. That is long gone.
Everything has been upended, on purpose, by design, whether culturally and religiously and the number of firearms is huge. No sane person would give up their firearms at this point, it would be akin to suicide. No matter what laws are passed. That ship has sailed.
Leftists don’t hide who they are at this point and it’s pretty clear they are the sociopathic monsters they accuse everyone else being. “We Hate You and Everything You Believe In, and Want You to Die; I get the message loud and clear. Really. They don’t hate guns, that is a Myth. Don’t be fooled.

Who cares how many people are murdered with guns? What matters is the total murder rate.

Nothing new. I remember back in 1970, GUNS MAGAZINE ran an article about some anti-gun adds to show what we were up against. All the adds DEMANDED the abolition of the right to own firearms.

There is a way to ban all guns. It’s called a constitutional amendment. Get it through congress with 2/3 of both the house and senate votes and then get 34 states to agree. Good luck with that.
