The RINOs and their comrade buddies the Dems gave Trump a yuuuuuuuge gift. All he had to do was veto it and tell them to send him something GOOD. He would then be a HERO to all of us who voted for him, and more!

Instead, he folded like a broken lawn chair.

You are dreaming. The GOP folded like a broken chair.

POTUS vetos this and the Dems shut down the government for a month. Or longer. Then they make an even worse deal with Ryan and McConnell.

With the midterms months away there was never going to be a beltway nuclear war now. Sorry to interrupt your day dream but those are the facts.

LOL. Seems you forgot that we sent him there to DRAIN THE SWAMP and that includes the GOP whom you want to use as a scapegoat when, in fact, they did what they always do. This was his BEST chance to make good that "Drain The Swamp" mantra and he just choked.

Had he vetoed, you're right: THE DEMS shut down the government until, just like last time, they realize they're taking the blame and relent OR McConnell grows a pair and uses the nuclear option.

And so what if there is a shutdown? Tell Congress to pass a bill to fund the military payroll from now until they get their sh*t together on another omnibus bill. Otherwise, let the shutdown go on as long as it takes. Let people see what a shutdown looks like. (Hint: 95% won't notice any difference. If you can't get your passport renewed in time, boo freakin hoo. Deal with it. Your grandchildren will be better off for it.)

Face it, Trump was holding all the cards and he folded.
