Well, my honest take?
The US Federal government takes in just shy of 2 TRILLION dollars a year between personal and corporate income taxes alone (This does not include PAYROLL taxes, just income taxes).
The 1.3 Trillion bill is only about 2/3 of income, yet the US will STILL need to borrow money this year to pay all its bills.
We have a far far far bigger problem, and have had it for a very long time, about what is or is not paid for in any budget... When an official budget is only 2/3 of revenues and still we have to borrow so we can cover all our bills.
However, folks will focus on what is or isn’t funded in this bill... rather than the larger problem.
I am fine with Trump Vetoing the Bill, if he so chooses.. Lord knows the GOP hasn’t figured out what 2016 was about yet... and probably would help them out in spite of themselves if Trump did veto it.
The $1.3 trillion in this bill seems like it's "supplemental" and would cover the equivalent of three months' federal spending.
