Congressional Republicans are jeopardizing the Second Amendment rights of 4.2 million senior citizens. At the same time, they have voted to funnel tens of millions of dollars to gun control organizations and support other actions that Democrats will love. All of this is wrapped up in the giant $1.3 trillion spending bill that the House of Representatives approved Thursday on a 256-167 vote and sent to the Senate.

Until recently, I haven’t seen anything to gain in quite a few elections. At least this time, there are a few men and women who are truly working hard and taking great personal risks for us on some issues. We owe it to them to support them with as favorable a Congress as we can put in office. Otherwise, the few good ones will be completely exposed to what they’re risking.

Surprised they aren’t bragging that they’re just bringing SSA on par with the V.A. I believe vets already are on the NICS deny list if they meet that criteria.

Im not so sure the Republicans wont be on board to impeach Trump. They havent done one damn thing to help him pass the agenda we elected him for. Look at this bill! Its like a big slap in the face to all of us.
I think we skip voting for liberals, of either party, and just start the Civil War.

>> And no, trolls, the answer is not to stay home and refuse to vote in the midterm elections. Write to your Senators. Tell them to stop the bill and fix it. Join a Second Amendment organization now.
This attitude of supporting them no matter what is exactly why they aren't afraid of pushing through budgets and anti-2A legislation like this.
If you want to make change in Washington, you vote for true Conservatives on the ballot. Sometimes they have an (R) next to their name, sometimes they don't.
Writing them letters complaining about their actions, but still supporting them no matter what, is exactly why they feel free to act the way they do.

>>FR changed dramatically during the primaries and became infected with people who are ok giving up guns, never building a wall, spending a Trillion dollars on shovel ready jobs... and they call us the trolls. Suddenly folks were joining FR in numbers not seen since I have been here.
>> Their tactics are straight out of Alinsky... they are plants. I left FR for a while because it was invaded. It still is, but i trust FR for news and I havent found a replacement yet.
>> I think they will go away if we stop laying down and taking it. Truth always wins.
I noticed this as well. I've been extremely busy with my two businesses, my grandkids, and our family's ranch, but I lost interest in posting when I saw newer members trashing older members because they didn't lick somebody's boots or give up their conservative ways.

>> Then what comes next, do we have to try to overthrow this foreign occupied government.
You vote for the most conservative candidate at the ballot box, whether they have an (R) or something else next to their name. You stop sending the same Representatives and Senators to Washington who do nothing but spend, spend, spend, and who don't care about trashing our rights.
It's going to be painful, it's gong to take several years, and you will have to recruit your family and friends to do the same, but it's clear the two-party system has failed us, and we have far too many Republicans who should have a (D) next to their name.

Sometimes, the many anti-Second-Amendment lobbies offer more money to politicians than the pro-Second-Amendment NRA. The last number that I saw about NRA membership was an approximate 5 million out of a population of over 325 million people. There are over 40 million people whose main interest is getting paid by their various levels of government.
Many of those people are paying organizations that lobby against the Second Amendment. Organizations related to medical work are notorious for it. So are organizations paid by teachers in particular.

I'm not concerned about that 40 million or the NRA or any anti-2A groups.
I'm concerned about the 535 members of Congress who voted on this budget, particularly the Republicans who pushed this through with their Democrat buddies, and also the supposed-Republican in the White House who signed off on it.
I know what kind of person Trump is, but I had a very small sliver of hope that he would veto the budget and force the Republicans in Congress who put it together to completely own the budget. I also hoped that he would vow to work against them in their future primaries. Instead he just whined on twitter and signed off on it.

I can’t help you then. For readers who want to learn about how our government works, go to

And yes, af_vet_rr, I know that you don’t care about that and don’t want conservatives to learn about how government works. That’s fine.

Hillary lost, though, so Donald Trump is our President. Hillary's constituents will go on to the nursing homes, pretty, little urns and garbage cans (for those who don't keep the ashes) without getting what they wanted.
Readers should also go to

This is for readers who want to know what’s going on.
* Each of the houses of Congress very nearly had enough votes for a veto override.
* Congress went to break. That would have shut down the government, until they went back in session, turning more government-sucking voters against the President.
* After returning, they would have gotten the very few votes they needed for an override.
That’s how it works. And yes, many members of Congress did that for well over 40 million government-connected people who don’t want any spending cuts. They did it for enormous sums of money they’ll get for campaigns from the lobbies of those people.

I have 1.3 trillion reasons proving why most Republicans in Congress are not conservative.
