Trump's sugarcoating a turd...and he knows it. There were 90 republican votes on this thing and without the 111 dim yes votes...it doesn't get passed. It is true...SWAMP bipartisanship. If he vetoes it...it will truly be the "trump shutdown"...and he knows it. They will NOT cave on it and the government will stay shutdown until he decides to sign it. The swamp could just wait him out...the economy would crash and the economy is the one bit of good news he has right now to brag about. His poll numbers would crash into the teens. Nobody would want a wall that bad...

He knows he does not have the political capital to do that...and so does the swamp. You and I don't count for much these days. We will count less after this November.

Then go directly to the American people.

Trump should make a speech reading Congress the riot act. He should talk about drafting the bill in secret and not showing it until the last minute. Talk about the corruption and waste in the bill. He should tell the American people to demand that Congress does their job.
