WASHINGTON (AP) — The House easily approved a bipartisan $1.3 trillion spending bill Thursday that pours huge sums into Pentagon programs and domestic initiatives ranging from building roads to combatting the nation's opioid abuse crisis, but left Congress in stalemate over shielding young Dreamer immigrants from deportation and curbing surging health insurance premiums.

no problem with military spending but wasn’t the entire objective of this Republican congress to end the DACA and Zerocare and build the wall?

so why are they passing everything but?

“Compromise” That means Democrats got what they wanted, conservatives left out again.

No such thing as a line item veto in the federal government.

They must have an alternative dictionary, because Compromise is not the word they were looking to use - believe Surrender is the correct term.

And, in the Senate, we can only expect further Rat progress.

yes. That is exactly what it means. We've been double-crossed, screwed over and given the shaft all at the same time.

The republican that wrote this monstrosity should be tar and feathered and run out of town!!! No republicans should have voted for this.. I think the Republicans will lose the House and Now Trump will be impeached! If they lose the house..

Hell if we are going to get Democrat communism ,let’s just vote DEMOCRAT!! This wouldn’t have been worse with Hillary. Republicans and Trump are finished. Rush Limbaugh said today in part that this sell out has “massive consequences” in that a huge segment of the base is walking away. This is far greater than when George Bush lied to us about “no new taxes” Here we are talking about a fundamental building block in the last election and the very security of this nation. Instead of vetoing this POC, Trump jumps to the Democrat side!! I just cancelled his twitter and I am done.

No wall, no deal. I do not see why republicans should vote for anyone who supports this.

You’re right! In the 1990’s Congress gave Bill Clinton line item veto and the Democrats took to the courts and it was overturned by the Supreme Court. So no line item veto.. I say veto the bill make the republicans scramble to get another..

Now that would be MAGA.

Anything else is business as usual.

“Line Item Veto, Mr. President, Line Item Veto”

A simple veto will hopefully do fine.

Buprenorphine/Naloxone works well as an opioid treatment for those not in pain.

Allow ordinary doctors to write refills.
