“You don’t get to pick what is necessary and what is not, that is a job for Communists.”

You’re the one deciding to go break up a company which isn’t a monopoly and which you can easily choose to not use, denying others the choice to use it.

Only communists compel people to compel associations with others en masse.

“Facebook and Twitter are the greatest political weapon ever devised and your solution is don’t use them.”

Yes.

Precisely because, based on decades of observation, such sites have a finite lifespan and the predicted mass exodus from FB/T is under way. I _have_ watched vast user counts leave “unstoppable juggernauts” practically overnight for upstarts.

A main point of capitalistic conservatism is “keep gov’t hands off voluntary business”.
Seriously: there is nothing about FB/T which not using proves crippling to one’s standard of living. Your only interest in breaking them up is because YOU don’t like their sociopolitical influence, so you want to use the police power of the state to interfere - which I find anathema, as you’re working against freedom of speech & freedom of association.

Freedom of speech.
Freedom of association.
Freedom of contract.

Remember: Hillary had _everything_ lined up against Trump, and massively lost. We don’t need itsahoot to protect us from Facebook.

Well itsahoot has no intention of helping you out of your deluded world view because if you think FaceBook is not a monopoly there is no helping you. Remember when Ma Bell was the only choice? Well everyone just refused to use their service and they changed, right?
