German chancellor Angela Merkel criticized Turkey's invasion of Afrin in Syria and condemned Turkish actions in the strongest terms on Wednesday.

In a statement in the German parliament Chancellor Angela Merkel said that what is happening in Syria, where thousands of civilians are persecuted, killed or forced to flee, is unacceptable.

"That too we condemn in the strongest terms" she said.

Merkel was explaining the policy statement of the new government for the next four years when she made a statement about Turkish invasion in Afrin.

Merkel has been criticized by German politicians and rights organizations for her silence on Turkish invasion of Afrin.

Speaking before Merkel, the government spokesperson Ulrike Demmer also voiced concerns about the developments in Afrin.

Yeah, I’m thinkin’ Frau Merkel might want to mobilize a couple of tank divisions to stop the Turks.

Except they can’t even put together a single tank division.

Only the US and/or Russia can prevent the Turks from wiping out the Kurds.

And they WILL wipe them out if not stopped.

They will try.

And you’re correct about what will be required to stop them. Unfortunately Russia is in on the deal for clearing Northern Syria.

So, it will be up to US. Unless NATO decides to help. But remember Turkey had the 2nd largest NATO military. But also remember most of the highly trained officers are dead or out of the military.

They were able to fly assaults on poorly armed civilian cities, but against a real air force? I doubt they will do well. Too few pilots to man the planes they have. Too inexperienced. If we wanted them down. They would not prevail.

She might as well invite Turkey to invade Germany, since she’s let every other freakin’ muzzie into her country.
