Unless during the Obunghole years things have changed, it is impossible to get into the military being illiterate. You MUST take and pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) exam.
It’s been that way for as long as I remember.
I scored high enough that my recruiter handed me the MOS book and told me I could pick any job I wanted.
