It is absolutely clear that we need a second special prosecutor. This second prosecutor should investigate everything that Mueller is not investigating, as well as Mueller’s operation itself.
It is crazy to launch an investigation into “Russian meddling” and “Collusion” of our election but to focus it only on one of the many candidates. The Clinton campaign should be front and center of this investigation, and for due process Jill Stein and the Libertarian candidate and everyone else should be in the mix.
The fact that Mueller himself is conflicted - he is tasked with investigating his friends and longtime confidants and the agency he once led - is just one of many conflict of interest problems. Add to this fact the clear biases of people brought onto the task force and you have too many appearances of impropriety to let it go forward as if it assumed to be a fair process.
Trump should not fire Mueller. He should order Sessions to form a 2nd investigation to look at Clinton campaign’s ties to Russia and other countries, the FBI’s involvement in election rigging and other criminal conspiracies, other agency cover-up such as State Dept and Justice Dept, and including whether the Mueller investigation has been part of a conspiracy to obstruct justice... and like the Mueller campaign mandate to follow the evidence wherever it may lead them.
There is too much evidence that the FBI was in on the conspiracy obstruct justice at a minimum. Clinton campaign, DC Law firms and all the other characters out there. The Justice Department cannot investigate itself. The only way is to appoint a 2nd special prosecutor.
