The AP-1000 nuclear power plant is nothing like the one we use on nuclear submarines. The AP 1000 is a large commercial reactor designed for electrical production. Our submarines use compact reactors designed for shipboard propulsion.

China is currently building two AP-1000 plant with two reactors at each plant. We don't export submarine reactor technology outside of NATO. The Chinese got their nuclear submarine technology from the Russians, and the former Soviet Union.
