He wanted a ban on assault weapons for one.
The only smart thing I can recall him saying was that the US should not get involved in Syria.

He was part of the "intelligence community" and interprets attacks on government agencies as attacks on the country, and skepticism about the Russia story as collaboration with Putin.
Also, he's peeved at the attacks on Mueller, who served in Vietnam (Peters didn't) and was decorated.
Question: Has he really changed? Or is he just doing the sort of thing he was always doing?
