Amen. Because people with severe pain management issues are increasingly denied their legitimate medications, more and more are turning to street drugs like heroin and fentanyl. And due to the impurities and extreme strength of many street drugs, the death toll from “opioids” skyrockets.
So what is the proposed solution bruited by Demo and Pubbie alike? Have the gov’t restrict legitmate painkiller prescriptions EVEN MORE.
Anybody wanna guess what the outcome will be?
How about we figure out where the drugs are hitting the open market? As I said above, the Urgent Care docs were pretty quick to try to force me a script when I had a thumb issue. However, I doubt that one bottle of pills was going to lead me to herion.
But local cops are finding people with MASSIVE amounts of Oxy, legally made, that they got from somewhere. Most don’t have a script.
There are a lot of people selling their pills second hand.
