A police lieutenant was canned early Sunday after crossing over the blurry blue line — when her fellow officers discovered their drunken colleague driving backwards, honking, through the streets of Florida.
Now ex-cop Christi Ruhtz, 41, was discovered with bloodshot, glassy eyes and reeking of booze in Pinellas, Florida around 2:00 a.m

Rhutz, who’d been with the Pinellas County Sherriff’s Office since 1998, was immediately fired, according to the report.

Isn’t “Reverse Drunk Driving” actually driving while sober?
Not guilty if she lets her eyebrows grow out more.
My cousin is a retired State Police Captain from CA.
Once in WA, he and my dad and myself went tot he Elks lodge and tied one on. We were not marginal, we were drunk.
Dad and I said we should get a cab even though it was 11 miles home and expensive. Cousin would not have anything to do with that and insisted he would drive.
Sure enough we go pulled over by the County Sheriff on the state hiway 4 miles from home at about 0230.
When asked for his license, cousin handed the young sheriff his badge.
I was surprised at the sincerity of the apologies and the offer of an escort home.
And that’s the 100% truth.
This lady must have pissed somebody off.
I think it’s driving while outtoxicated.

Wow, after almost 20 years of service.
I bet she was having a bad day, maybe a romantic letdown.
There’s a bit of a difference between driving home after having a bit too much to drink and drunk driving around town backwards while honking your horn.
