First thing, in the USA, we were the recipients of a huge wave of Irish immigrants in the 19th Century, so on every Saint Paddy’s Day, we’re ALL Irish!

Secondly, me real ancestry does include a large Irish contingent, from them very same 19th Century boats, starvin’ as they were from the potato crop failure.

And, as I remember, life was not easy for the Irish .... considered 2nd class , paid low wages. I’ve avoided the large NE metro areas and know nothing..... Is Boston’s “southie” Irish, or an Irish neighborhood ?
