What horror for those unfortunates in Miami. I don’t understand if or why the walkway was ever supposed to be in place WITHOUT support tower and support cables. Do you know ?

Just from the general arrangement in photos, the bridge had 5 major parts.

• Foundation is 3 support columns
• A long span
• A short span
• A cable support tower on the middle support column
• Cables

I think construction involved setting both spans, then setting the cable support tower, then running the support cables.

The long span had been set. It is what fell.

All I know is that anything goes in Dade,Broward(now Coward) and Palm Bch. counties. As we are seeing over the years.Once again homes don’t have bars on the windows up there simply for decoration,it is the home of criminality.
