I’m sure you know there would be massive, possibly violent protests from thousands, if not millions of liberals. Even if they mobilized the National Guard, I have a feeling they would be overwhelmed.
One thing to remember: Turkey is a much smaller country. It would be easier to project force because the armed forces aren’t so spread out. The US is huge. In order to accomplish the kind of scope of firings, closings, and detaiments you’d need for something of this magnitude, you’d need a coordinated effort of military, state, and local law enforcement. and, even some of them wouldn’t cooperate because they are liberals as well.
You may very well need a LARGE group of heavy armed and deputized CITIZENS who would be willing to ‘take care of business’ to get the job done.
I think there would be more than a few million volunteers. Count me in. We didn't all arm up for nothing.
