President Donald J. Trump's personal attorney, John Dowd, called for an end to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into alleged collusion and interference between Russian operatives and the Trump campaign in the 2016 presidential election.
“I pray that Acting Attorney General Rosenstein will follow the brilliant and courageous example of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility and Attorney General Jeff Sessions and bring an end to alleged Russia Collusion investigation manufactured by McCabe’s boss James Comey based upon a fraudulent and corrupt Dossier,” Dowd said in a statement given to Fox News. “Just end it on the merits in light of recent revelations."
Dowd's comments come just hours after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe has been fired.
As Matt noted, President Trump tweeted shortly after the late night firing that it was "great day for democracy."

McCabe responded to the firing by saying, "This attack on my credibility is one part of a larger effort not just to slander me personally, but to taint the FBI, law enforcement, and intelligence professionals more generally," McCabe said. "It is part of this Administration’s ongoing war on the FBI and the efforts of the Special Counsel investigation, which continue to this day. Their persistence in this campaign only highlights the importance of the Special Counsel’s work."
For now, it is unclear what the next steps will for the Trump White House.
The rule of law should apply to everybody — and this shows that these powerful people are not invulnerable and subject to the law like everybody else. I don’t know what they could do to Trump, or how they can threaten him... they have been doing that from day one. Thank God Trump has a sixth sense regarding all this, everything is working and is continuing to work his way.
The club.. they all belong to their club... and DJT is not in that club... was not invited and would not accept if asked.. but the extent of that club is one strong billy club against anyone who dares to touch it. It’s mind blowing!!

obama was not cut from the same cloth as this club... but he drank the kool aid and was taken into the club... the test was “how well and often do you lie”? and how much do you hate this country of ours? he passed the test and drank of the well sweetened kool aid
Mueller needs to wrap things up by April 15 - plenty of time.
