Interestingly Reuters is continuing the McCabe narrative with an article quoting an unnamed FBI official who urges Attorney General Jeff Sessions not to fire Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe. Given the rather expansive wealth of McCabe the angle of preserving his pension seems more than a little odd.
The source for the Reuters article could likely be former FBI Director James Comey.
The recommendation to fire McCabe was based on a referral to the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) by the Justice Departments inspector general Michael Horowitz. The IG felt McCabe misled OIG investigators about his communications with Devlin Barrett; a former Wall Street Journal reporter now working for the Washington Post.

That’s starting to sound about right.
He should have fired McCabe months ago
“”””If you read the Reuters article, it says that Jeff Sessions hid under his desk while McCabe met with the Attorney General Rod Rosenstein today. Okay, maybe I embellished a little bit. But I dont feel bad about it. “””””””
No way Sleepy is hiding under his desk. He wouldn’t be able to watch Matlock from there or eat his jello.
McCabe gets his pension even if hes fired. Misinformation flying around that he wouldnt.
These Gov types are AFGE.
Somebody at McCabe’s level wouldn’t be in the bargaining unit. The union would feel no obligation to step in on his behalf.
Sessions was either in Lexington or SC today doing speeches on the opiod epidemic. Wasn’t in DC.
unnamed FBI official.
Well thats another reliable source.
Jeff Sessions is the Scot Peterson of the Trump administration. When theres work to be done and bad guys to stop, he runs and hides.
Will Sessions wake up and take action for once?
Or will he continue to protect the Hillary and Obama supporters and enablers in the Deep State?
$hitcan McCabe. The hell with unnamed “advisors”
It’s a good question and frankly, I can’t conclude because I’m not sure this is accurate at all. If it is, it says there’s a sense of desperation on the Mueller team. After all, they are 14 months into a “Russia counter intel investigation” and what’s the basis for the ask? You’re possibly requesting a big firm’s records and what’s the basis other than a fishing expedition?
James Brower on Twitter says “Mueller subpoenaed these records because he is digging deeper into CIA operative Felix Sater.”
We’ll probably need more time to smoke this one out and digest. At least I can’t conclude much of anything at this point.
He just wouldn't get it immediately as he would if they allow him to stay until he gets his numbers to retire.
If fired now he would have to age into the numbers to get his retirement benefits.
Of course if Sessions started doing his job and prosecuted McCabe retirement benefits wouldn't be his number one concern.
Scumbag Comey is telling Sessions not to fire McCabe? Are you kidding me?
We already KNOW that Sessions is an spineless EUNCH, too damned scared of his own shadow and stupid to boot! He and Rosenweasel both need to be fired !
That article is CRAP and NOT true!
If he is fired BEFORE SUNDAY, he does NOT get his full pension!
Go look it up!
Then, tell Jim to remove it from Breaking News.
Not my job/place to do so; didums. :-)
So, you don’t feel THAT strong about it?
