In the UK any criticism of Islam is met with the label “racist”. It has been institutionalized. I grew up there and I can’t believe how dumbed down they’ve become. Most Brits did not grow up Christian and have no basis for an ethics comparison. They’ve just been told it’s racist to criticize Muslims/Islam and that’s that.
Brit: ...but Islam!
Media: RACIST!
Brit: ...but Jihad!
Media: RACIST!
Brit: ...but dead people!
Media: RACIST!
Brit: ...but how can a religion be a race?
Media: RACIST!

They're good so far, despite Nazis often saying in various ways, "Hey, they're with us!". They've done the same many times with other moderate conservative efforts. Here's one in Germany.
