I wonder if before he croaks there’s a way to get him waterboarded?

McCain, shut up and die. Your comments do not help the American people, but are those of a bitter old man who needs to go.

Perhaps McCain is reminded of the fact that the torture he endured in the Hanoi Hilton made him talk to the enemy. Torture should depend on who is doing the torturing and who is being tortured. If the tortured is a terrorists, then there are answers that need to be given. If the torturer is a good guy trying to get answers that can keep your nation safe, then they are a determined questioner. It’s that simple. Obviously, McCain’s thinking has been poisoned by his own experience—and maybe his own guilt.

McCain said in a statement..." When was the last time he made his own statement in public before the cameras?
To: detective
"The torture of detainees in U.S. custody during the last decade was one of the darkest chapters in American history," McCain said. "Ms. Haspel needs to explain the nature and extent of her involvement in the CIA's interrogation program during the confirmation process."DIDN'T HE JUST STATE SHE WAS INVOLVED ?
So .... YOU explain it, Juan.

Is it just my imagination or do I remember a Trump campaign promise to bring back enhanced interrogation techniques?
If my aging memory is wrong, please correct me. If not, could this elevation of the CIA woman be a signal that Trump is fulfilling yet another of his promises?

1. It was NOT torture as defined by US Code at the time.
2. The Geneva Conventions do not apply to non-state actors involved in mass murder, per the commentary on Common Article III.
Funny how the International Red Cross took down the commentary on Common Article III soon after I was making the case that Islamic terrorists have zero protection under the GC, which former president Barkey's Executive Order is based on, which translates into USG policy.

I wish someone would publicly set the record straight. McCain is no hero.

Even if McLame's claim were true (which I doubt), do we torture a muslim and stop another 9-11, or do we play according to Hoyle and see Americans killed?
It's not even a no brainer. When it comes to "us" or "them", I choose "us". Always.
