It’s snowing here in Western PA, but just flurries and a few quick squalls. We aren’t getting any of the Nor’easter.

This is an entirely different race the GA... and I live in this district, and I can tell you....

Lamb may indeed win.

Saccone’s messaging as well as the GOPE has all been standard red meat republican messaging, attempt to tie lamb to Pelosi... not much else. This may motivate the R voters who would turn out no matter what, but I really really don’t think its going to get the MAGA I and D Cross over voters motivated.

Lamb has run a very good campaign for the district.

Saccone should still win, but it is not out of the question that Lamb pulls it out.. D’s are motivated, Trump Haters are motivated, they are going to show up and vote. I don’t think the Saccone campaign or the GOPe pacs have been providing appropriate messaging to motivate the MAGA voters (other than R’s who would show up anyway) to turn out.

Saccone should by the numbers win, but it is far closer than it should be, and if Saccone wins by less than 8 points, which I really doubt is going to happen, R’s better wake up and fix their messaging before the fall midterms or they are going to lose the house.

So how about the Libertarian in this race? Drew Miller. Will he draw enough Republican votes to give the election to Lamb?

Why should we agonize here. The district gets what they deserves. Trump will remember this if they let him down. Watch growth get directed out of there. They can then drown in their own dem swill.

If the district flips, flip the tariffs on those ungrateful scum.

If R’s stick with the messaging they have had for this race, they will lose many close districts and the house in the fall.... Take that to the bank. Regardless if Saccone wins or loses.

There messaging used in this race IMHO does NOTHING to turnout the MAGA I and D crossover voter.....

IF this messaging is the plan for the fall, They WILL lose the house.

District isn’t going to let Trump down, GOPe will... their messaging of this race has been any R race for the last 15+ years... no message was offered to motivate the MAGA I and D Crossovers to show up.

If Lamb wins, it won’t be because the R’s didn’t fight, its that they fought with the wrong message...

The message MUST motivate MAGA voters to show up, not simply the traditional R voters, and this campaign message has been almost exclusively red meat for traditional R voters...

If BS media overrides what folks can see right in front of their face... so be it. Look, they had already lost everything. The jobs left because people let the jobs leave. If the district wants to hug the dem dragon, so be it.

Its not about embracing D, its about R not putting out a message to turn out voters....

D’s and Trump haters are going to crawl over glass to vote.

R’s better start figuring out that their message cannot be the same red meat for traditional R voters if they want to drive turnout, they need to get the MAGA I and D cross over voters motivated to turn out this fall, or the R’s will lose the house.

Amazin, 45 posts, Half mention turnout will decide it. ...

And not one mentions that turnout is created by boots on the ground going door to door.

Boots are even more important when the candidate lacks charisma.

That's on the candidate, and it's probably local to the special election.

That's the point of nationalizing the mid-term election to align the races along a national Trump message. That's difficult to do in this one isolated special election.

Let's hope that Republicans run someone else in this district in November.

Trump is the message. Tax cut is the message. A tariff is the message. Folks in that district don’t need a stinkin’ RNC media blitz to awaken them to the reality in front of their face!!!! The only people to blame for a dem win in the PA district would be the lazy or generally stupid asses that didn’t vote the way Trump asked them!

I agree with you 100%. The Democrats are only interested in illegal aliens & illegal criminals. This guy, Conon Lamb will screw his blue collar voters in a New York Minute if Nancy Pelosi orders him to do so. And, then when the Democrats take over again..it’s back to unemployent for these fools and dining on food stamps.....what ingrates. Trump saves them, brings back their jobs...and this is how they screw him!!! Go figure!!!

The good news is they are screwing themselves and will have no one to blame when the dirt hits the fan...but themselves. Me...I’ll be laughing how they have nary a clue what is good for them. So be it!!! We shall see what they are made of this evening!!!

Yep. Repubs need to freshen up or there will be more train wrecks like Roy Moore.

Hopefully this Saccone person can somehow pull it off. I watched Trump’s rally the other night and Saccone got me as excited as I would be watching broccoli grow.

boots on the ground going door to door

Got a visit from people stumping for Lamb, but not from anyone supporting Saccone.

Meanwhile, my Democrat co-worker is getting text message after text message telling her where her polling place is, urging her to vote today, etc. I never got a single message, just a few robocalls on my "dead" (unused) home phone.

A couple weeks ago, we got 2 millenial hipster looking freaks knocking on our door from Working America, wanting to know what issues were important to us.

My husband, who is in the coal industry said, “Not being forced into a union, not having my 2nd amendment rights infringed on and getting Trump elected again in 2020.”

They basically thanked us for our time and moved along.
