In US "conservative" circles, particularly here on FR,when something bad happens that is typically associated with a particular group of people (Mexicans for crime, moslems for terrorism and abuse of women/girls) we will sarcastically speculate that it was "Norwegians" who did it.The sarcasm is due to the fact that the typical American sees Norwegians as decent, law abiding people who wouldn't,in reality,do such a thing.
So no real offense was intended toward Norwegians.
Oh no, oh no...
I got that...
Norwegians haven’t had any grooming gangs in Seattle...or Minneapolis...as far as I know...
I just took the comment as a jumping off point to....wonder about child grooming by Pakistanis.....
Because I have never heard of it here and we have hundreds of thousands of them...
Btw, child grooming is not a good word, because that seems to imply peadophilia... The oldest girl in the Telford case was 11. Of a 1000 victims.. Basically they are almost all underage (as in below 18), but post pubescent. This is more akin to sexual trafficing, sex slavery, and wartime sexual subjugation. Imho.
I don’t know if you have been to the UK lately?
Any little street is filled by these Pakistani run “Chippies”, Curry takeouts and kebab shops....
Btw, I am Norwegian and I broke the law in America once.
I drove on I-40 with one broken tail light.
The officer was nice and just wished us a safe travels, but told us to get it fixed when we got to Flagstaff.
Btw, I wonder what the highway trooper or what they are called thought. We certainly freaked out seeing the lights go up behind us and hearing a siren.
But, what did he think?
A very old and dodgy 8 cylinder Ford Thunderbird was it? Low riderish...
I guess he too, in the end, was surprised to see a nerdy Norwegian engineering student, saying as the window was pulled down, “Any problem, officer?”
Sorry for that anecdote.
Btw, we WERE carrying illegal contraband, little did he know.
We had 2 bottles of vodka in the back and were both just 19 heading to Lake Havasu.
Anyhow, take care and fair winds.
Euro.
