It would indeed be nice to have leaders who lived exemplary, scandal-free lives before, during and after their time of service but we know even if someone DID their enemies would dig up or fabricate dirt on them anyway.
Nobody cared that billionaire playboy Donald trump played around and cheated on his wives (except the wives) - it was expected. Now that he has been elected, it seems like everyone expects him to NOT have lived that way. When he was caught talking about grabbing women and how "they let you", he wasn't admitting he had assaulted women only that a man in his position literally had women throwing themselves at him and begging for his attention - and we know they did. What, I think, matters is how he lives NOW. Has he changed his ways? It looks like he has. Don't we all want redemption and forgiveness for ourselves?
True. But, I’ll take a President that allegedly did something, as a private citizen, 13 years ago, over the last 3, that did their level best to sell out, give away and destroy this country, while they held the position of Commander in Chief.
