I know someone whose DNA results contradicted the “family history” passed down from their grandparents. When she told her siblings they refused to believe it and now won’t speak to her.

I did some family history 5 years ago and about 3 sides had sagas of Indian blood. I doubt any were true. I decided all families have Indian blood stories and ancestors married to cousins.

I have read that the tests are often inaccurate. If your friend was tested by another company, the results might be completely different.
