I know there is some Native American in our family tree but not to the extent of your family. We’ve never investigated to see if we can cash in from it.
If you’re in the right tribe, it can be lucrative. I know a guy that recently told me that his wife gets $46,000 per year from her tribe (tax free), 0% loans, almost free housing, free healthcare, etc. His son, early 20s, gets $19,000+ per year.
Yes I know. I knew a lady that got an Indian check. My cousins daughter is half...documented but all she gets is medical and cheap food. Must be the wrong tribe.
We tried to trace my great grandfather but record keeping was so bad back then that you can only get so far. Shrug
