...I personally don't care for credit cards as it makes it too easy for folks to get indebted over their heads. To me, a debit card makes more sense. Spends just like a credit card but has a built-in limit...

If you ever have a dispute with a merchant over any item at all, or over any service that was not up to par, you will find that credit cards offer much more consumer protection than debit cards.

True, that. We had a dispute going with Overstock for the last several weeks, sent us the wrong goods but charged us, despite us refusing to take delivery (we intercepted the drop off) when they said they fixed the problem but sent us the wrong goods again, which sat outside for a week waiting for them to have UPS retrieve it. Credit card refunded our money, because we never received the goods we ordered. Doubt a debit card would have gotten our money back. They finally retrieved the wrong item, soggy box sat in the rain outside for a week! Credit cards give you protection.

Agreed. My statement about credit cards tempting those with slim constitutions stands.
