The law was so poorly written with many arbitrary exemptions .
All the carve outs make it flawed .
Explain why not then make it 35. After all, that’s the age the founding fathers penned when a man is almost assuredly of sound mind and judgement, enough to be eligible for the presidency. How about the age of those able-bodied in the unorganized militia, 17 to 64 as is current regulation?

Are tobacco and alcohol constitutionally-protected rights?
While the government bans the sale of alcohol and (at least in some states) tobacco to those under the age of 21, there is no constitutional right to drink alcohol or to smoke tobacco. And, yes, the 5th Circuit has upheld restricting gun sales to those 21+, but I dont believe that the 12th Circuit (which covers FL) has ruled on the issue, and neither has SCOTUS. Well see what the courts have to say on this.
