The more I read about what the uni’s involved in, the more I’m glad I don’t live in IL.

I'm only here until May of 2019 or shortly thereafter. That's when my oldest son graduates college and my financial commitments to him are over. After that, this state can collapse and sink to the depths of hell for all I care, I won't be here anymore.

Why, I'm actually considering voting straight Democrat in the upcoming primaries and general election just to give the state the middle finger on my way out the door. Don't know if I can actually push the button for "D" just to give these dummies here what they say they want but it's amusing thinking about it.

Having been born and schooled in IL, I moved out in the late 70s and never looked back. Aside from even courses in my college major (math), most others were peppered with political BS back then (late 60s. Academic rigor was gradually being replaced by PC and consensus. Universities were a great place for socialists, nihilists, sociopaths and other misfits with no real talent (other than being able to pass tests) to get paid for hanging out, being "intellectual" and "banging" students.
