Ellison Says His Democratic Colleagues Never Asked Him About Farrakhan Connection: ‘No One Cares’
freebeacon ^ | March 7, 2018 | David Rutz

Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.) said that none of his colleagues ever asked him about his connections with controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan as he campaigned to take over as the lead sponsor of a single-payer health care bill, ripping the media for focusing on "this Farrakhan thing."

Ellison, who serves as deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, has faced increased scrutiny lately over his prior membership in the Nation of Islam and his reported meetings in recent years with Farrkhan, an outspoken bigot who espouses conspiracy theories about Jews and whites.

On Wednesday, Ellison received unanimous consent to take over the Expanded & Improved Medicare For All Act from former Rep. John Conyers (D., Mich.), who retired in 2017 amid multiple sexual misconduct accusations.

Ellison told the Washington Post none of his colleagues voiced concerns about the Farrakhan story as he campaigned to lead the effort on the bill, which is popular with the left.

"None of my colleagues ever asked me about that, only reporters," Ellison said. "I am telling you, no one cares. I’ve been all over Minnesota, all over Alabama, all over Missouri, all over Pennsylvania and Connecticut, and nobody ever asked me about this. People ask me about wages, about pay, about health care, about guns, about immigration. They ask me all kinds of challenging questions. But for some reason, some folks in the Fourth Estate think that this Farrakhan thing needs to be inquired about instead."

Ellison defended Farrakhan in some of his writings in the 1980s and 1990s before later distancing himself and expressing regret for his prior activities when he first ran for Congress in 2006.

In an anti-Semitic rant last month, Farrakhan called out Ellison, saying "the Jews" made Ellison apologize for his prior membership in the Nation of Islam in order to let him run for Congress.

Ellison has reacted with hostility to media questions about Farrakhan, telling CNN in February there was "no relationship" and that the story was a "smear" by his political opponents.

Ellison isn't the only liberal figure facing questions about his connections to Farrakhan. Rep. Danny Davis (D., Ill.) recently said that Farrakhan is an "outstanding human being," and Women’s March co-chairwoman Tamika Mallory attended Farrakhan's inflammatory speech and has praised him in the past.

"...None of my colleagues ever asked me about that, only reporters," Ellison said..."

Why would they? His "colleagues" are all virulent racists like he and Farrakhan. This is normal for them.

“No one cares” on their side is right

And it showed with the lack of MSM coverage in 2008

Ayers/Dorhn, “Rev” Wright along with FarrahConMan should have been more than enough to disqualify the Kenyan

I can believe this. Democrats allow and profit from Minority racist organizations and leaders. This is normal for them.

I don’t disagree that Ellison’s democrat colleagues don’t care about his ties to Farrakhan. They look upon Farrakhan as someone who can be a bit prickly at time, but still an ally: anti-white, America-hating, etc.

ellis should not be sitting in Congress, as an outright enemy islamist, any more than a bundest or state shintoist should have during WWII.

What he means, of course, is that no one on the left cares, Farrakhan being one of their sacred cows, and his poisonous beliefs being a solid plank of their platform.

Louis Farrakhan has a talent for provocation that has won him many enemies and vast publicity. Here are some of his pronouncements

“White people are potential humans - they haven’t evolved yet.”
Philadelphia Inquirer, March 2000

“They [the Jews] are the greatest controllers of black minds, black intelligence. They write the scripts - the foolish scripts on television that our people portray. They are the movie moguls that feature us in these silly, degrading, degenerate roles.

“The great recording companies that portray our people in such a filthy and low-rating way, yet they would not allow such a man as Michael Jackson to say one word that they thought would besmirch their reputation, but they put us before the world as clowns and as purveyors of filth. No, I will fight that.”
Meet The Press interview, October 1998

“The Jews have been so bad at politics they lost half their population in the Holocaust. They thought they could trust in Hitler, and they helped him get the Third Reich on the road.”
Saviours’ Day speech, Chicago, February 1998

“Of course, they [the Jews] have a very small number of people but they are the most powerful in the world, they have the power to do good and they have the power to do evil ... Now what do the Jews do best? Well, they have been the best in finance that the world has ever known ...

“They finance a lot of stuff in the world, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but they are not good politicians, they are the worst politicians because they don’t recognise really their friends and as well their enemies ... “
Saviours’ Day speech, Chicago, February 1998

“It seems like being gay or whatever sin you wish to be a part of is okay ... but I have the duty to lift that gay person up to the standard to ask if they want to live the life that God wants them to or live the lifestyle that they want to live.”
Boston speech, August 1997

“I believe that for the small numbers of Jewish people in the United States, they exercise a tremendous amount of influence on the affairs of government ...Yes, they exercise extraordinary control, and black people will never be free in this country until they are free of that kind of control ... “
Meet The Press interview, April 1997

“I don’t own Hollywood. Who depicted black people? Who writes the books? Who writes the plays, the songs that make us look less than human? Do you mean to tell me that Jews have never done any evil to black people? ...

“Were they not involved in the slave trade? Yes, they were ... and to the extent that they were involved, somebody has to bring them to account. And I believe that has fallen on me.” Interview with New York Amsterdam News, January 1994

He's a pal of Keith Ellison and Louis Farrakhan, now meet the Muslim Congressman with a stranglehold on your safety and security.

Muslim Democrat Cong Andre Carson's Congressional Committees

NOTE--The DNC places a price on these committees---Congressman wishing to be placed on the committee pay up front. Where did Muslim Carson get the money to get on these highly sensitive committees?

Is Carson funneling Islamic cash into the DNC?

Do Indiana constituents know Carson bought these seats?

REVEALED: Three Democrats Attended Private Dinner With Iran’s President And Louis Farrakhan
dailycaller ^ | 02/09/2018 | PETER HASSON

FR Posted on 2/10/2018, 7:08:39 AM by MarvinStinson

Three Democratic congressmen attended a private dinner hosted by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in 2013, a new report reveals.

Reps. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, Andre Carson of Indiana and Gregory Meeks of New York attended the private dinner, along with Louis Farrakhan, a notorious anti-Semite who leads the black supremacist group Nation of Islam.
Iran is the number one state sponsor of terrorism, according to the United States government, which has listed the Islamic Republic as a state sponsor of terror since 1984. Rouhani was in New York for a United Nations meeting and held the dinner party just hours after speaking to the UN General Assembly.

Final Call, a Nation of Islam publication, noted the three Democrats’ attendance at the time and included photos of Ellison and Meeks at the dinner party. But aside from the Final Call article, the three Democrats’ presence at the dinner remained secret until a Wall Street Journal column revealed it on Friday. None of the three congressmen’s offices responded to The Daily Caller’s request for comment for this article.

Ellison, Meeks and Carson’s attendance at the 2013 dinner is just the latest tie between Democratic members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) and Farrakhan.
One CBC member, Illinois Rep. Danny Davis, defended Farrakhan and praised him as an “outstanding human being” in an interview with TheDC last week. Davis openly admitted to having a personal relationship with Farrakhan in the interview.

Ellison, who is also vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), has previously struggled to put distance between himself and Farrakhan.
Ellison attended Farrakhan’s Million Man March in 1995 and once publicly defended Farrakhan — who has repeatedly called Jews “Satanic” — against charges of anti-Semitism.

After his ties to Farrakhan hindered his campaign for DNC chair last year, Ellison wrote an an op-ed for The Washington Post in which he portrayed his ties to Farrakhan as limited to the 1995 march. Farrakhan disputed that characterization in a video posted to Facebook and said that Ellison and Carson visited him in 2015.

The CBC held a secret meeting with Farrakhan in 2005, where then-Illinois Sen. Barack Obama took a smiling picture with the hate group leader. The existence of both the meeting and Obama’s photo with Farrakhan remained secret until last month. A Final Call photographer said he suppressed the photo for 13 years at the CBC’s request, in order to protect Obama’s political career.

Twenty-one current members of the CBC were part of the caucus at the time of the 2005 meeting. None of them were willing to denounce Farrakhan when asked by TheDC. (RELATED: After Obama-Farrakhan Photo Bombshell, New Footage Emerges Of Democrats Hugging Nation Of Islam Leader)

Farrakhan’s organization, the Nation of Islam, is so extreme that even the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center has recognized it as a hate group for its “theology of innate black superiority over whites and the deeply racist, anti-Semitic and anti-gay rhetoric of its leaders.”
