I agree. If the powers that be feel that someone under 21 cannot legally own or purchase a firearm due to being “too young”, then they need to raise the minimum military draft/Selective Service registration age from 18 to 21 as well and exempt those who are 18-20 from registering for Selective Service, citing they are “too young” to be drafted.
Same argument can be made for a Constitutional Amendment raising the voting age back up to 21 from 18. If they are too young and immature to own/buy a firearm at ages 18-20, then they are too young and immature to be voting in our elections.
Gun grabbers will sneer & point out that their bill doesn’t prohibit 18-20 year olds from bearing issued arms while in the military. And fighting & dying, too; that’s all OK.
Because gun grabbers believe that ONLY the police & military should have access to guns.
A 17 year old can enlist with parental consent.
If the FL legislature going to suggest raising the enlistment age? What is it for the Florida National Guard?
And surely they would not be cognizant enough to drive a car until they of LEGAL age either.
And to get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle
